Windows 95 start up music composed on a Mac

For many of us, the music used in the background while Microsofts Windows 95 started booting up is still locked in our heads. That music was actually composed by well known ambient music composer Brian Eno. In a newly discovered radio interview with the BBC from 2009, Eno revealed that he actually composed the Windows 95 start up music on an Apple Macintosh machine.

Well... actually he was using a windows machine, but it kept crashing. Thus switched to his mac. Anyone that does video processing or audio processing on a semi professional level knows all about that...

Not surprising. Apple has always been the computer of choice for creative professionals, even during the dark times of the mid-90s. That was their core demographic up until recently.

omg yes, what the hell is up with that anyway? There is not a single stable video editing app on Windows. Even the really expensive ones like Vegas will crash a lot in certain areas, and the problem grows as the video gets bigger.

As for audio I never had an issue though...

They crash probably because Sony and Adobe make them. Premiere Pro runs sluggish on my laptop, which handles FCP just fine.
Avid has always been the go too Windows program. Most TV stations use it, however, a lot of places are shifting to Final Cut Pro.

FWIW, Lightworks is opensource now.

Exactly. It's well known that MS buys tons of Mac Stuff and Mac has tons of Windows stuff. Stuff like this does not surprise anyone intelligent.

Shrug... When Microsoft started promoting IIS all their own internet services (www, ftp, etc) ran on Unix servers still. When that came out they took down the servers and replaced some of the welcome messages with a 'Welcome to IIS' like message, while it was still a bunch of Unix servers.
