Hey folks,
I don't get stumped much but this one has me. For the past week or two, before and after Win7 SP1 x64, this has been an issue. I lock my desktop when I am away from the desk, mainly out of habit, and because of other people in the house.
When I come back and turn on the monitor I get the login screen. I enter my password and proceed to get about 10 seconds of a blank screen. This also happens when I lock the desktop as well. About 10 seconds of blank screen as it transitions to the lock screen.
This also seems to happen during admin popups (UAC). For instance when I run CPUZ64 or other apps that give a UAC prompt like program installs.
It happens regardless of theme. With basic or aero themes.
Ive done a MSE check and with Spybot, there is no spyware/malware issue.
Im using the latest Cat drivers for my 5870. Ive used driversweeper and reinstalled them too. This system is running on Intel G2 SSD as well.
On restart it seems fine for a while. It doesn't seem to happen until the system has been on for a while.
Nothing seems amiss in taskmanager nor is there any random apps that I don't know what they are.
Any help with this?
