I just recently got a new seagate 200 gb 7200rpm IDE hd for to go with my a7n8x-e deluxe mobo. I formatted the new hd, ntfs with no partitions and installed windows xp sp2 on it.
It was working fine for the first few days but immediately afterward, i started noticing progressively worse loading time for windows and loading times for media ie. mp3's, wmv files etc. now the computer won't even boot up.
I've tried switching ide cables, switching to another hd but i still get the same problems. i'm sure it's not the psu. what else could it possibly be?
