Windows clock runs fast

Just noticed that my Windows clock has been rapidly gaining time today. Gained about 35 min since I reset it about 5 hours ago. MB is new Epox EP-8RDA+ running Win XP Pro.
Had been running fine for more than a week. Just started gaining time today as far as I can tell.
Anyone help?

Do your have the correct time zone setup in Windows?

Windows XP by default syncs with the NIST time server every couple of days. If your time zone is not set correctly then your time will change when a sync occurs.

Checked the time zone and its set correctly. Clock seems fine past 24 hrs. Thx for your reply.
