Are you sure you have installed your RAM in Dual Channel mode? If yes then it must be the latency problem

5 is good. 1 is bad. I got a 1 on a system running RC1 with 512 memory, 64meg graphic, 27gig hard drive and an XP1600+ processor.

I had a 5.8 or 5.9 but I put more RAM in and dropped it drastically to a 4.8... I think my Quad Channel RAM isn't working now but I can't run sandra to verify becuase it errors out every time saying it can't find the server (yes I tried to manually start the service-vista "Kindly" stops it for me.) Ugh.

yeah, the two raptors are running on RAID 0 (Intel Matrix RAID setup).

I had two x1950xtx's in Crossfire mode, but it was much more than I needed, so I sold it last week...

Any ideas why the RAM score would be so low? It's running in dual channel mode.

not necessarily- why don't you overclock your GPU just like your CPU i'm sure its not that hard. And you are running 2 Raptors in Raid0 - must be freaking fast [/quote]I think Aberforth's observation bears some truth. My 2nd rig (in the sig) has 64-bit Vista installed, and I got the score of 5.8, the CPU being the weakest link. I remember that I got 5.9 on gaming/desktop graphics with a mere 7600GT. (compared to his X1950XTX!)

My PC is quite nice but a Windows Experience Index of ONLY 4.7 !

Processor - 4.7 RAM - 5.9 Graphics - 5.9 Gaming Graphics - 5.9 Primay Hard disk - 5.7

So why is my CPU so slow?
The new dual core E6600 should be hitting 5.4 according to forums/sites/pundits and the like. I've been into BIOS and Vista settings, I've made sure that no CPU throttling is occuring.
My only other though is that i'm running the 64bit version.

Does anyone know if the 64bit version puts a different requirement on the CPU/Pocessor test ?

Some example stats

The average rating for E6600 is 5.3/5.2(stock speed) under is Windows Vista 64bit with 2 GB Ram. There is really something wrong. I get 5.7 CPU Score under Vista 64bit but my CPU is Core 2 Duo 6800.

Goto WinSAT Folder and delete all recorded scores and then run the assessment again. See if the score changes.

I've a creative X-fi and an Nvidia 8800GTX under the hood. i've scouted about the forums on the net and so far i'm foxed as to why i get such a low number.
