Heeeeeelp!
I'm pulling my hair out with this problem. I am running an Acer EasyStore H340, and I bought a WD30EZRX 3.0TB drive to go in it. It is not working. WHS v.1 sees the drive only as 746.52GB, no matter what I do. I have tried the following, with some incremental success.
Initially the WHS itself (over RDP) could not see the full capacity drive. WHS is fully patched up to SP2, and running power pack 3. WD support has little support to offer but suggested the following.
1) WDAlign - I have used the WD align utility and aligned the advanced format drive.
2) Acronis True Image WD Edition - I have used this, and the OS can now see the full 3TB drive...
BUT - WHS still does not. WHS still sees it as a 746.52GB drive, no matter what I seem to try. I have tried the WD jumper pins 7/8. I'm told that the jumper trick only works for XP - it seemed to have no effect on the underlying Server 2003 OS.
Has anyone else on the planet tried to add a 3TB drive to WHS? I can't be the only one, can I?
Please help!
