system : Venice 3000+ 939, MSI K8N neo4-F, 2 x WD 80GB 8 mb cache sata 150, 2x256 Geil value, Gigabyte 6600gt, DVD-RW Asus. Hdd are in RAID 0.
when i created, RAID 0, i left the default strip size (i don't know what are the consequences, of that)
The main question is, the 50 seconds Windows loading time, is too much? (after installing the RAID i have expectations, that windows, will load faster) There is any tips, in configuring windows? or there is any configuration in bios, which i missed? maybe the network configuration is the problem? did anyone experience this?

i don't have any problems, after, the Windows was load ... the system work very well, the raid 0 make his presents feel (games loading time are smaller than before).
i don't overload the windows, with all kind of programs ..

When do you start timing the Windows load time? Is this on a clean install with no added applications?

50 seconds is quite slow. My Sempron 3100 @ 2.43GHz and one PATA Seagate 7200 rpm loads in 23.5 seconds (hit power button to desktop time).

Retest with one HDD...clean install of course. You MAY pickup a second or two with 1GB RAM.

the long boot time is not because of your RAID. There is probably something else. What happen when you unplug the dvd?

I don't know how long it takes my systems, nor do I care as long as they run fine when in Windows.

Some video cards will take a long time to boot. The average boot time should be around 30 seconds for a new rig.
