Windows ME for half price.

I think Win ME is great. It is actually great for almost everyone. It is definitely great for microsoft cuz it just means they can sell more OS with minimal effort. It is great for app companies cuz ppl have to buy new versions of their app to run Win ME w/o any problems. It is not so good for hardware ppl cuz they have to rewrite their drivers. But overall, once the hardware guys got around to write the drivers, I have had no problem with Win ME. And to anyone who think ME is slow, UPGRADE your hardware cuz don't even bother if you don't have 128 megs of ram and a 400+ mhz system. In fact, Win ME runs a whole lot faster when you add in the boot time, Win ME takes 1/3 as long to boot as Win 98 SE.

This is just like when windows 98 came out and everyone was complaining and now everyone is using it. You just have to know what ur doing. Internet explorer is the only flaw in windows ME.

Formatted my hard drive one time to have a clean install of Win ME.

Formatted it again that night to put back Win 98 SE.

This is a great deal, maybe some of you ME bashers want to sell your unwanted ME packages even cheaper. I suspect most of you are repeating what you heard elswhere and have no clue what ME is and isn't.

I work support at my company...including support for branches across the nation.

Man oh man WinME blows...so unstable..lots of our apps fail with this OS..laptops especially.

Heck, my dad bought a Gateway Athlon system recently. Kept getting BSOD's and lockups. After many attempts, they (Gateway) had him load Win98SE onto the system. Know what? No more problems.

WindowsME does NOT suck. I would take it any day over Windows98. Everyone I know that runs it has had no problems with it. I think the only people that hate it are the Linux lovers because they can't duel boot easily with it.

Its also much more stable than Windows98 was for me.

WinME sucks. I always get lockups in UT. The internet always crashes and Im sure it's not my cable companies problem. Win2kpro is way better.

Windows ME is only and only suck when you have trouble with it which the majority of the bashing people here do not represent the majority of Windows users. Also Windows ME only suck if you cannot afford it. So at 50% off, you cannot beat that and even Windows 98 is more expensive.
