Windows Media Player 10

Hello All
I need some help please, I DL an album the other night and so this morning I burned a CD to listen too when I'm driving, however, the "Windows Media Player 10" files will not play on my car CD player.

Its a fairly new one too, about 10 months old. Anyway, so I thought that it was my CD player but my wife told me that the one I made her didn't work either. So I get home and burn another one and I get the same result...nothing!! my CD player just says 'PROTECTED'

OK, so then I DL some "audio convertion programs" to convert my recent songs and it won't work with the protected files that are being used from Windows media 10. So how can I convert my new files to the standard .MP3 format or is there a DL for Windows Media Player 10 for my problem??? Thanks everyone

I did that too, but still it wouldn't play correctly!

It's quite possible your cd player in your car just does not support that format. Regular CDs are burnt to disc as .wav files as opposed to .mp3 files. Nero just converts it on the fly to .wav onto a CD. That's why each file is so big as well as you can only have depending on the size 10-20 something songs. Whereas if you had an mp3 CD you could have hundreds of songs on one CD.

Are you burning the CD with WMA files? If so, you need to uncheck the Copy protect music option under the Rip Music tab in options.
