Windows Media Player 6.4

I'm still using WMP 6.4 in Win2k. I don't know how, but now there is an 'Upgrade' button in the toolbar. It's very annoying b/c if I'm watching some small streaming videos, the window won't fit to the video now b/c of the button. Is there anyway to get rid of it? While we're at it, is it possible to remove the 'favorites' and 'go' button too? I find them to be useless and take up space. I want to make WMP as compact as possible. Thanks.

If you do upgrade..

You can still use what you know as Media Player 6.4

It still keeps the old shell of itself for integrated online stuff. The file called mplayer2.exe is what 6.4 essentially is. The new one is wmplayer.exe, so you could associate your files with mplayer2 or just rename mplayer to wmplayer and get the same shell you have now, maybe even with newer codecs of wmp7 or 8
