Windows NT4 server and lost cursor?

Hello,

Somhow I need to get the cursor back in NT4. Keyboard navgiation still works but, well. you know. The event log shows an input failure. I am currently running a PS2 mouse. When I tried a serial mouse, the system asked for the NT disk and loaded up the driver. However upon restart there still was no cursor. I doubt a virus but I am going to scan the system anyhow.

Please help if you have ever seen this.

Try the mouse on another PC to see if it works. If it does, your server has a bad PS/2 port.

Check in control panel - devices if the Mouse Class Driver is started if no set it to system under the startup button.

Check if the bus mouse is disabled

Check if there's only one mouse driver started. Something like i80xxx keyboard and ps2 driver also in devices.

Thank you for the help.

I finaly figured that the mouse class driver was not loading and there was also som kind of "inport mouse driver" which will not start so I disabled it and everything seems to work. Anyhow its finally going.
