After the DL links on the left gave me the too busy message, I downlowaded a program called Internet Download Manager from www.internetdownloadmanager.com and clicked on the 32 bit iso link. It's downloading fine so far at an average of about 920KB/sec w/ a gig pulled down in under 20 minutes so far. Not sure how much is related to my Comcast connection vs. the download program. Says I have just under 40 minutes left. Might want to give that a try.

has anyone been able to locate some 64 bit audigy drivers that actually work?
Slooow and a H0G! Unimpressed. Eliminates a couple of key-clicks on installation & adds a few on operation and configuration.Originally posted by: gplracer

If you're after the X64 version, don't forget that it must be saved to an NTFS partition (or Ext3, Reifers, etc.) due to the size of the beast.
Will not save to FAT32!
That's probably been why many have not sucessfully been able to D/L using Opera or FF.
It bit me.

Has anyone had a problem burning to a CD? Nero keeps telling me "image block size does not correspond to image length. The block size may be wrong". I've tried correcting it, but it won't burn. I've also used Alcohol and redownloaded.
Is it me or has MS messed me up?

While I almost always use Nero to burn these ISOs, for some reason DVD Decrypter came up when clicking on the ISO and I decided to use this to burn the disk. Worked perfect for me.

Downloaded overnight. Installation took approximately 4.5 hours from start to finish.
System Specs:
Vaio T350P Mini Laptop
1.2 Pentium-M Centrino
512 RAM
60GB HD
System is up and running farely decent. Memory usage is a hog. Required just under 500MB of RAM to be in Windows! So if you run nothing but 1 internet explorer window, 512MB of RAM is fine. Anything more eats up ram. Windows Sidebar(MS Equivalent of Yahoo Widgets) uses 40MB RAM. However, I really like the new GUI/interface/integration.
Things I've noticed in somewhat order:
1st impressions
Edition used: Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit edition
New login screen with crossfading into Windows
Alt/Ctrl/Del has a new menu
Laptop battery settings allows you to choose from 3 modes(performance/battery/balanced)
New start menu that doesn't expand across the entire screen when you select programs. Scroll box overlays over the recently used programs list. Also has a built-in search function(kinda like Winamps Jump(j) song search) Just for the start menu items.
Integrated Windows Media Center Edition
Windows Media Player 11/Internet Explorer 7 / Defender/ Collaboration / DVD Maker
New Volume Controls(Application-centric as opposed to Audio type) & simultaneous World Clock
Windows Sidebar(replaces yahoo widgets, but seems like a RAM hog now)
Caution: I get blue screen of death everytime I shutdown my laptop, but seems fine. All my devices are working fine(except my 1394 port, which I need to find a driver)
Things missing!
wmplayer2 (Windows Media Player's Very minimal player)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nooo
Where'd all my ram go!! Need to upgrade my laptop to at least 768 now.
I think it's stable enough to run. It has hard-freezed once in the past 2days, but I was multi-tasking too much.

Did any of you guys get the Flip3D thing working in Vista? IF you're not familiar with it, it is the ability to have windows in the background in a 3D format. You enable it by doing Ctrl+Window Key+Tab+scroll wheel on mouse.
