I'm getting it as soon an my University gets it, but then again I only have to pay 15 bucks, so price really isn't an issue
How do you get it for $15? I am a student and they are charging $85 for the Home Premium upgrade, which is still a good deal, but not near as good as $15.
just depends on the school. I got Enterprise version for free as a student. Also got Office 2007 for free among many other software items if I wanted them.
What school do you go to? I go to the University of North Texas, and I don't get any free software at all, at least not that I know of. Anyone else here go to UNT and know a way to get ultra-affordable software?
That is your problem right there!

I am getting my copy of Windows Vista Home Premium full edition, OEM for $157.00 Canadian tomorow (30 Jan 2007).
With taxes, (14%) grand total is $178.98
Anybody else is getting Vista tomorow?
If so what version are you getting and at what price?
I hope this is not a repost.

For those of you who bought the Retail version of Vista Ultimate......may I ask why you went with Ultimate over Home Premium?

A few reasons...
-To learn the new features since I'm in the IT field and my company doesn't buy OS's for contractors.
-Shadow Copy/Previous Version A feature I have just been dying to have.
-The Family Upgrade Option. I still have a Media Center and a laptop to upgrade. Ultimate and 2 copies of Home Premium that way is cheaper than getting 3 copies of Home Premium seperately.
There are a few other minor reasons too, but these are the biggest.
Almost verbatim what I would have said. I purchased the Ultimate upgrade because of these same reasons, to test it to it's fullest, and to take advantage of the 2 copies of Home Premium for $50 deal. Shadow copy is nice too, and I definitely hope I look back and wonder how I lived without it.Originally posted by: Griffinhart
