The MSI TV tuner I just bought does not have 64-bit drivers. My Creative webcam is OLD and will never have 64-bit drivers. I am am not going to downgrade unless this situation changes.
I am really mad about the TV tuner, I am disappointed about the webcam but I'm not surprised.

Is there any 64-bit media player for Windows?
I've only come across FMOD (http://www.fmod.org/) and I have yet to try it out.

You're confusing bits. The benefits to a 64bit media player would be all the same benefits as to any other 64bit application; native execution under XP64, more memory access, more GPRs, etc.Originally posted by: techfuzz

Is there any tangible advantage to using a 64-bit media player? Considering most audio isn't anything more than 24-bit, I can't even see it harnessing even a 32-bit processor.

That's why I asked if there was any tangible advantage. As it stands now, a media player is a media player and personally I doubt it has much of anything to gain from moving from 32-bit to 64-bit. Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed 64-bit, in fact I run it myself, but it just doesn't seem like you would gain anything from running a 64-bit media player.Originally posted by: ViRGE

Hmmmm, I'm debating if I should upgrade my 3000+ to an X2 and add another 1G of memory myselfOriginally posted by: Wag
I just went from 1Gb to 2Gb. Huge difference. Even on my Opteron 170 everything runs much faster.

$12 eh? I'm assuming you got the trial version, in which case keep in mind the 120 day limit.Originally posted by: jac0b84
I can't believe I just got a version of Windows for $12.
That just made my day. I have 2 versions of 64 bit linux in the mail as well. I know the drivers and software are lagging but I am exited.
