Windows XP SP2 compatibilitiy Issues.. Here is one what issues have you seen?

Divx install crushes XP SP2.

Well there is a big patch available for Drive Image 7.0......fixed the problem with SP2. Get it at the Symantec website, a measily 50mb.

I installled SP2 fine on a few systems but one gave me some probs on a 650mhz oldie with XP pro.

After installing the SP2, it reboots then comes up to the blue log in screen,but the login boxis not there! Just a blue screen. Tried it in safemode and same thing happens,only its a black screen with "safemode" in all 4 corners.I havent yetfigured a way to get back in.

Any ideas besides reformatting?!

Audigy 2 ZS Platinum: EQ section of the control center doesn't function. Must update drivers and software.

EDIT: Tyson8earzz, try ALT+TAB to see if the window is really there, but possibly behind a layer or another 'window'...maybe it is minimized and you can't see it because you have no taskbar yet? IDK, ran into a similar problem like that with a Novell login screen at work the other day. Might be worth a try.

Then you have a long wait my friend. Look how long sp2 took to come out? I for one will not be installing it on my main pc as I use about 90% of the sw/hw you guys seem to be having problems with.

On my Toshiba notebook computer, SP2 changed my "Power Options." The notebook was set to hibernate when I closed the lid. After installing SP2, I shut the lid and walked away. Imagine my surprise when a couple of hours later I saw my wireless adapter lights turned on. I lifted the lid and it was on, including the LCD screen, which had made the notebook pretty hot. This kind of made me mad as if it would have been longer, it could have damaged the notebook.

i have nero ultra 6.3.1.20 thats the latest
i dont know if its SP2 or something else, i did an sp2 slipstreamed clean install of windowsxp and a clean install of nero 6 ultra..
and when i burn a cd that used to take 2-4min, now takes 5-9min and the bufferunderrun is avoided over 100x (the message that comes up after burning) the meter goes from 100per to 1per and all over..its driving me nuts, and i cant even type or check mail or NOTHING like i used to before
i have an xp2200 w/768mb ram and a plexy 52x premium..
i NEVER had these issues before, anyone know where there's a fix?? anyone.>>>??
ive been at it for an hour googling stuff to NO avail....

i just wanna burn cds. whats the use of having bufferunderun protection 8mb on the cdrom itself and not being able to use it??? like you used to..

Maybe it doesn't have anything to do with SP2.

You have DMA access turned off? Sometimes Windows turns it off by default and you need to go into the device manager and turn it back on.

I had the same message pop up with Nero 6 Ultra Edition. I then downloaded the updated version from the website and it seems to be fine. I'll tell you what though, I have had a H*E*L*L of a time getting SP2 to play nice with my Netgear stuff with WEP. It was a PITA but I *THINK* I got it working. Other than that I haven't had any problems (well, except for the HP PSC 2510 software crashing out on me but I *DON'T* blame that on SP2).

Now the only other thing I need to do is slipstream Office 2003 SP1 into my Office stuff...
