when i put in the vista DVD (i want to do an upgrade) i get an generic various error messages.
One of them says setup.exe - bad image. the applicaion or dll is not a valid windows image. please chekc against your isntallation diskette.
One of them is related to the autorun.exe not working.
some of the times i can get to the part where it starts installing and then it says -
windows cannot copy files required for installation. the files may be corupt or missing. make sure all files requried for isntallation are avilable and then restart the installation. error code 0x80070017
i downloaded the image from microsoft (academic license) so i had to burn the DVD myself. there is a small scratch on the back, but doesnt look like it should affect anything.
