windows2000 equivelant of msconfig?

remove any unwanted items, that works nicely

You should use StartUp Control Panel

go to a command prompt and type ipconfig. Never use TweakUI with 2000....you will have problems

uhmmmm, Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.

Win2k is quiet a bit advanced to 9x crap. Just be careful with some of these services, you can cause windows to do GOOFY things if you shut down critical services.

Just use MSCONFIG, ignoring the error messages on start-up (when it can't find config.sys etc).

(Of course, you have to copy MSCONFIG from Windows98 and place it in WINNT\SYSTEM folder)

Edski: The newest TweakUI from MS.com is for all windows version. It has Win2000 options in there, its quiet nice. Its the old win98 ones that screws with you.
