WindowsUpdate - Locked out with IE

Howdy,

Here at work, we got a new model PC with a new image on it. For some reason, something is configured to not allow windowsupdate.com to be accessed. When we go to www.windowsupdate.com, we get a message stating:



<< Your organization has decided to provide software updates internally rather than through Windows Update. To download updates for your Windows computer, please see your network administrator. >>



Also under Tools in IE, Windows Update isn't an option like it usually is.

Anyone know where this setting is so we can turn it to upgrade the PCs? There are things not isntalled like encryption files that we now can't get at easily.

Are you using IE6?

I had the same problem - then un-installed IE6 and went back to IE5.5 and all is well
