Well, I'm having a blast trying to get x64 working on a ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe with a 3500+. I can't get any audio drivers installed, I'm not having any luck with the ethernet drivers for the Nvidia MAC, and I'm having to use Windows' default drivers for the motherboard. I'm also not having any luck with getting IPX to work on the Marvell controller although I think that this is a problem with the drivers Windows installed for me. Pretty much the only drivers I was able to get to work were the drivers for the GeForce FX6600. Can anybody help me out?

I have the same motherboard. I got the 64 bit audio driver from asus that works great. I got the NVIDIA ethernet driver from NVIDIA the beta 64bit drivers, 6.25. The marvell Yukon also works from either asus or nvidia drivers.

Your right, I tried Alcohol, CloneCD, and Discjuggler but Nero 6 does work. The others installed with errors and do not run but Nero does let me get to the burning screen. I didn't burn anything yet.

Thanks for the help.

That worked perfectly. I'm not sure what was going on with the drivers I downloaded from Asus but they only thing it was trying to install was the IDE drivers. Very odd. Slightly related, do you have an unknown device in your device manager? I can't figure out what that might be (maybe the second SATA controller?). Thanks for your help.

Yeah I was trying to figure that out as well, what it was, I would think the SATA raid driver would work for the non RAID. My HD is on the non RAID SATA and I never had an issue with that. Could it be USB or sound card related?

Use the Device Manager to get the hardware ID for the item, then a Google search should turn up the offending part.

I think it was mentioned somewhere in this thread and Rage3D forums.

In case anyone is interested, I installed my X850XTPE as an X800XT PE (PCI-e) (due to there being no support for the X850 range in these drivers) and it works perfectly well.

Well I finally beat KOTOR2 yesterday so I broke down and gave RC2 a go. My only issues so far:

1. Still no drivers/PVR software for my TV tuner
2. Diskeeper Pro has no x64 version and my x32 version doesn't work
3. To install the latest Catalyst drivers, I had to do it manually. The installer failed
4. No Powertoys. I need an x64 TweakUI!! I really do....
5. SoltekHM is not able to read from the Winbond chip on my mobo in x64

I'll post more as I find them.

I already remember some:

6. Windows Media Player 10 is fine by itself, but if you try to install any x32 software that works with WMP you get some strange error message. The software then works "normally". Two examples of this is Windows Media Encoder 9.0 and Winamp 5.08, both of which work fine in WinXP Pro with WMP10.
7. .NET Framework is a rough install. The app I install that necessitates .NET Framework is Paint.NET and it acts really flaky under x64.

Here you go.
NVUDP 6.25
These drivers work well on my NF3-250Gb in x64, I don't know how they do with NF4 boards though.
Main x64 driver page

Does it lower performance of the card installing it as a X800XT PE?

see my previous posts, the Nvidia beta 64 drivers work better than the ASUS ones for my NForce 4 ASUS A8N-SLI deluxe.

Speaking of, it's my understanding that the nForce drivers supplied in RC2 are actually newer than the 6.25s nVidia provides for download.

I didn't have any luck with the drivers that came with Windows x64. I didn't have any drivers install for the sound card or the Nvidia MAC. This is with an A8N-SLI Deluxe so I know they work.

Another fault I have found: refresh rate in games doesn't match my override setting in the ATI Control Panels. Who's fault is it? I dunno...

Hmm, but refresh rate is fine in KOTOR2. Must be a problem with the CATs and UT2K4.

Well the sound card has nothing to do with nvidia and are you sure it's the nvidia MAC and not the Marvell LAN you're having problems with? Anyway, I was referring to nForce3

Hi there...long time lurker, first time poster hehe breaking my posting cherry here Anyhow, I've used RC1 since Dec, and RC2 since what...2 weeks ago? When ever it was made available for DL...no problems whatsoever. My rig is in my sig, but everything is running flawlessly The only hardware worth mentioning that isnt in sig is my HP Laser III printer...worked with RC2 drivers. Below is a list of software I am currently using:

XP Office Pro
Nero ver. 6
Avast 4.5 antivirus
Diskeeper Pro Ver 7
Master Splitter
Quick Par
Win RAR ver. 3
DVD Shrink Ver. 3.2
AdAware personal Edition
Spybot Search and Destroy
Chikka Messenger
Yahoo messenger

Everquest
Everquest2
Far Cry
Thief

Thats the bulk of it. All flawless. Overall my performance in everything is noticable. I am currently using the 32 bit IE, as Flash and Macromedia isnt supporting 64 bit as of yet. Anyway I wish I could contribute more but I havent had anyproblems hehe

Dan

:edit: I forgot...I do have one issue...I cant run my logitech 4000 pro webcam Ah well.
