Downloaded the new NFORCE 4 drivers and still NO SLI detection whatsoever, only playing on one of my 3d cards. So i guess noone here has a A8N-SLI DELUXE Motherboard with 2 3d cards on,cause i here noone else complaining.

After reading all the posts, I'm confused as to which drivers I should use for an Asus A8N-SLI (not Deluxe) with an Asus N6600GT (not SLI).

Can someone make it simple for a dummy like me, and please tell me what drivers they used to get these devices working fine?

You cant upgrade or install from Win32. It will upgrade RC1 and the previous beta but not a 32bit OS. You need to have it burned from ISO and made bootable and do a fresh installation from the bootable CDROM.

In keeping with what M-Tech01 said - get yourself a second hard drive & install it there.
You may find out that there are some things in 64 that just don't work, so make a 'Dual Boot'
system to avoid closing youself out from internet access.

USE GOOD HIGH-QUALITY BLANK CD's !

Burn the ISO to a disc, & boot from there.

RC2 does not allow me to install monitor drivers! This is a disaster.

Every time a new build comes out I install it only to discover that it is worst than the last.

All the other public versions allowed me to use my monitor .inf, but not RC2.

Probably because the INF doesn't use the new INF convention. Read the release notes on the first post for more info.

I downloaded XP RC2 and proceeded to do a fresh install after I reformatted. It completes the install, and when it proceeds to boot windows for the first time, the system restarts. I've tried different hard drive configurations (RAID 0, No RAID, single HD) etc., and it continues to do the same thing...any ideas?

Has any nForce3/nForce4 users gotten Cool 'N' Quiet to work with RC2 and the beta nVIDIA nForce 6.25 or nForce4 standalone 6.39 drivers?

Dump the installs, burn a new ISO to a new & different brand of CD-R & start over.

I tried to install XP Pro 64 on a partition i created on one of my drives but when I boot from the CD and go to install my partition, or the drive its on won't show up.

Here are my drives
C:\ 80GB Drive -- Windows XP Pro (current OS) NTFS
D:\ DVD Drive
E:\ 500GB RAID0 drive NTFS
F:\ 120GB drive NTFS
G:\ DVD Burner

What I did was i made a 60GB partition on the 500GB drive to install 64 onto (H:\) but it won't show up as I said, is this because of some drive size restriction or what?

(C:\ and F:\ show up during the install, just not E:\ or the newly created H:\)

EDIT: Nevermind forgot to load 3rd party RAID drivers during install....

I've installed xp 64bit edition and installed the nvidia drivers for my motherboard and graphic card. However, I don't have any audio. The nvidia audio drivers don't work. Am i supposed to download the realtek drivers? Would they work?

Also, right now I have no internet with 64 bit.

Which drivers for your motherboard did you use, and which motherboard do you have? I used the 6.39s on my NF3-250Gb motherboard and I had sound. In any case, you can use the Realtek drivers if you so desire.

Yeah - give us some clues here !

I looked on another of your threads & saw this:
Foxconn Winfast NF4UK8AA-8EKRS
mentioned as being your motherboard - can you confirm that ?

Didn't like what I found in the 'Foxconn Support Page' if that's your board:

Link/Foxconn

No downloads available for that Mobo from the Home Support site isn't very encouraging.

From your owners manual - what is the type & brands of the Audio Chip/System & the LAN ?
Might be able to find functional drivers from another board that will run them on yours.

You need to set up a 'Drop-in' folder on the 64-Bit side desktop - name it 'TEST' & when you download from the 32-Bit side
save it there in that folder. Then when you re-boot under the 64-Bit OpSys, you can go to that folder & run the install from it.

Yeah, that's the motherboard I have. I downloaded the 6.39's for the chipset. The audio is the ALC850 codec. All I got for the LAN is intergrated gigabit ethernet.

MSI shares the RealTek AC850 Audio with the Foxxconn you have, so a MSI Audio Driver
should function. Try the first one, if that doesn't fly - try the other.

MSI Audio Driver

Vitesse makes the Gig/LAN - but you have to register with them to download the driver.

You either have the VSC8201, the VSC8211, or the VSC 8221 - look closely on the
LAN Chip & you should be able to spot it, then run the appropriate driver.

Save to a 'Test' folder that you pre-locate on the 64-Bit side, Re-boot & run from there.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ePox also shares the Lan & Audio Drivers that your board has - on their EP8KDA3J model,
and has a 64-Bit Driver Group that they offer - It just might do the trick for you.

Well, I used the "New Hardware Found" window to install the drivers and it worked.

I successfully install Windows XP x86-64 edition a couple days ago with no problems. This is a nice OS! It even feels snappier, although that could be because it's a new install versus the 6 month old 32 bit install of Windows XP I have.

For an RC2, this is very polished. All of my hardware is working, including my GFFX 5900, my ipod, and my wireless network card.

There are some things that I could not get to work:

Cool n Quiet on my Abit KV8-Pro.
Seti@home screen saver.

That's it so far.
