I'm willing to spend a bit extra (is it even extra?) for better wipers. I had the taller snow wipers for years and now the entire blade needs replacement (not just with refills).

Which would you get if you wanted to go above standard wipers?

Quadrablade (lifetime) or Silicone type ?

I found out I get more miles on two sets of $5 blades than one set of $10 blades.

Buy two sets. Keep on in the trunk.

Interesting... I bought refills for $4 each from Pep Boys (forgot the name - total $8). Turns out I need the whole blade (a set) and not just the refills - my existing blades wont' take any type of refills. Anyway, at these prices, where am I supposed to get $5 blades?

I also recommend Bosch blades.
Just make sure you don't get Rain-X blades. :disgust:

Another vote for Bosch.

I bought another brand from CostCo B&M only because they were high grade and cheap but they were a bitch to install on my old 94 Corolla.

So I found Bosch wiper blades there... but it requires a #U1 adapter? What's that about? Searching for #U1 on the site comes up with nothing.

I meant that figuratively. Maybe I should have said two sets of the $25 blades vs. one set of the $50 blades. I'm just not a big fan of designer and/or brand name stuff.

Aquafina vs. Evian?

Dude, water is water. Buying name brand wiper blades pays off the every time you're in the middle of nowhere in a downpour. Go BOSCH or don't bother.

I am getting these

Heard they were pretty nifty. I had Bosch on my Olds and they worked great. Bosch on the neon is not so great. I now have the tripleedge dealys on there. Waaaay better, but wear out yearly.

Amen.

Wiper blades are wiper blades. What matters is the greasy film that builds up on your windshield. Clean it often and clean it good. Or use those rain repellant things... RainX or Castrol or Acme or whatever.
