I had the same problem as your friend. Did he find a fix?Originally posted by: daveshel
I have done several installations without issue. But a co-worker was unable to get to the desktop after rebooting. He was able to boot into safe mode and uninstall SP2 from add/remove, so if this is a worst-case scenario I'd say it isn't too bad.

has everyone who has had "no problems" done a fresh/recent reinstall or just installed to their current machines as is?
The closest thing I've had to a "problem" is that my wife's laptop seems to be using more RAM than it was before the install. But I dont know for certain how much it was using beforehand so it's hard to know for sure, it may just be something she's stuck on it since I last noticed (next time around I'm not even giving her power user rights, too much of a hassle to clean up afterwards).Originally posted by: mofo69
Any system slow downs or configuration issues?
