Please help this ignorant person!
I just loaded my first install of WinXP on a Via system. I at first installed the 4-in1 driver, but then changed to a G-force 4 Mx440 64mb vid card. So, according to the cardmaker's directions, I uninstalled the Via AGP driver. I then ran the autorun on the vid card CD. I get an error every time that says:
"An error occurred during the installation of this device.
The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request."
Ok, it's a software error somewhere....but I've tried everything I know to do short of re-installing windows. And I am not sure that would solve the prob.
Thanks in advance for some good advice for the braindead!
