Wiped a HDD using KillDisk, now it shows as two partitions

I ran killdisk on a 2.5TB drive I have, and it disappeared completely from w7, obviously. So I go to disk management to recreate the volume, and for some reason it's split into two unallocated partitions, one 2TB in size, the other .75 TB. The weird thing is, on the .75 it won't let me create a new volume, I can only do it on the 2TB section....Before this I had the drive as about 2.4TB, so it's like I lost an extra 400G in there somehow. Any ideas? Could killdisk have found bad sectors??

You partitioned the HD using MBR (With its 2 TB limit) instead of GPT.

Then use Disk Management to delete current volumes and create a new one.
