I know 2 people with the 6820 and they love it for text messaging. The keyboard does make a big difference and the Nokia software is really quick compared to the Motorola. What you lose is the bigger screen you get on the flip phones. The bigger screen is probably better for internet surfing. For text messaging, it's not as important.Originally posted by: amheck

13 Cingular phones for free. 12 Verizon phones for free. 8 Nextel phones for free. 11 T-Mobile phones for free + 2 more that are free after rebate (T-Mobile rebates -- Not Wirefly rebates). 6 Sprint phones that are free.
That's 41 free phones with no Wirefly rebates.

When I checked this with Amazon, they said that Cingular doesn't allow them do this. The main reason was so Cingular could still keep their business of selling the phones for so much b/c they could port your number. And if I tried to port my number after buying from Amazon, then Cingular would null my original plan making it impossible for me to get my Amazon rebate.
I'm guessing Cingular has this same policy with Wirefly...?

Do you work for Letstalk or something? You claim that Wirefly doesn't pay their rebates but it's obviously not from personal experience. Not that it matters. If you read the original post, you'll see what makes this deal hot is that this link has lots of deals without Wirefly rebates!
MrNutz, the last time I order from Wirefly (last fall), I ported my number to a Cingular Nokia 6230 phone, and Wirefly handled the whole number transfer for me, but it took a couple of extra days for them to port from Sprint to Cingular. I wanted the phone in a hurry and that was a pain, but the port went through the same day the box arrived, which was cool. Next time if I was in a hurry I might actually consider ordering a new line and then doing the port myself after I've got the phone, but then there would be overlap and I'd be paying bills to two carriers for a few days.
