Sorry I haven?t visited in a while but looks like Wirefly has added phones and changed some prices. Lots of new Cingular deals right now like RAZR for $29.99 with no wirefly rebates. I have updated some of the best ones below.

Wirefly has obviously not changed this link like we thought they would. I'm thinking I'll maybe make this more of an official tracking thread and update it like once a month. Would that be valuable?

This site has incredibly cheap up-front prices with no rebates (unless there's a carrier rebate on a particular model). It's a benefit for InPhonic employees. They set it up this way as a separate site because Wirefly doesn't have coupon/discount code capability.

I expect the FatWallet effect will force them to change the URL, but with the weekend ahead it will take days for anybody to notice and I know for a fact that if your order gets in the system and is carrier approved, it will ship.

This is obviously not a hot deal for the really cheap phones that are free anyway, but it is smokin' hot for some of the nicer phones.

Does anyone have experience with Wirefly? How do they compare with Amazon in terms of customer service/fulfillment?

The phone I am looking at is $115 cheaper here than at Amazon, but I will give up $35 in additional rebates. In other words, I do not need to shell out as much money up front, but the AR price is higher at Wirefly. Is it worth it?

Wirefly sells a lot more phones than Amazon. They are part of Inphonic, which is the #1 activator of T-Mobile phones on the internet. Both are authorized T-Mobile agents and will ship your phone quickly if you have no problems passing the T-Mobile credit application. Amazon doesn't handle family plans well, and last I checked doesn't handle porting your phone number for you. Other than that, it's just dollars & cents.

It seems like it.
It's a hot deal cuz if you order directly from wirefly without this deal. Their in-house rebates are a hit and miss.
With this link, you dont even have to deal with that.

Only problem is I am worried about Nextel's coverage.

Best thing is to ask somebody who has the service, but buying through an authorized agent like Wirefly gives you the same guarantees as buying directly from Nextel. i.e., you have something like 30 days to return the phone and cancel your service for full refund. This is a cellular industry mandate because of the exact issue you describe (it's impossible to know if coverage is going to be good at your location). I have ordered from Wirefly twice before and the box comes with a prepaid return label in it.

Thanks a lot OP! I've been holding off for a while and needed to get a phone since the work phone service provider has changed and the perks of 'In' calling have gone. I've had my eye on the A630 for a long time now... $69.99 could NOT be beat. My girlfriend saw the deal and switched from Sprint.

They're not going to let you buy a phone at cost without an activation...then there would be no $$ for them.
