Or should I order two phones here and two phones from someone like LetsTalk and merge that plan into this one?
I think this tactic is the one that would get you into trouble. One of the two would end up hitting you with a cancellation fee. Better to either order them all from one place. I would call them.

Thanks. Seems others have bought a phone/plan and merged into an existing plan. I think that would be a problem.

Amazon also said their Verizon plans could not be merged (invalidates rebate) - something to do with their relationship with Verizon which made me not buy through Amazon.

I guess I'll do a search for the Wirefly number and call. I asked a Verizon rep and it seems two plans under the same name/address could be on the same bill/account. Not sure if I ordered two plans through Wirefly if this would be the case. Too bad they don't offer more than two phones on the family plan off the F&F website.

Called Wirefly. Seems only option to get this special deal is to get two phones and family plan from them. Then add two more lines to the plan through Verizon. CSR said merging two family plans would be a downgrade of service for one of the plans.

Gotta love the fine print.

Phones on the way ... now to see about getting the other two. Spoke to Wirefly again and they would add two more phones, but the prices wre high and I wasn't comfortable with the CSR understanding the difference between adding two more phones to my order versus getting a new shared plan!

Thanks for the deal ...

I placed an order last week, everything went OK. It took them *forever* to ship (3 days), but everything arrived as promised and the port went well. Their customer support is poor, long hold times and standard India staff reading from scripts. Overall, I can't really complain - two v551's for free.

If only there was a way to get in with Cingular for only 1 year I'd be all over this. The T-Mobile phones all blow but there is no way they are locking me up for 2 years.

wirefly sent me my phone last week Monday. they sent accessories for another phone by mistake. I called them about the belt clip and the charger for the wrong phone on Tuesday last week, they say they will send them out. Still haven't received them to this day. I'm going to have to call them again

BTW: This was for the Motorola A630

Fis - don't bother replying to this. I don't know what you agenda is but you clearly have more than a passing interest in this deal.

I got this deal off with NO problems,Ordered a V550 and it just arived on friday.
Chose a $29.99 plan and when the phone arrived I rolled it over to my family plan @ $9.99 a month. Paid $0.00 for the phone deliverd 2nd day air.
PIC

I also chose this company to buy a RAZOR from as well in the past around 1-14-05
I would recomend this company whole hearted.

I was thinking about doing this same thing to get a 6230 for my mom...did you have any y problems adding the line ordered from wirefly to your existing family plan? I had heard somewhere that doing that was more or less like ending the wirefly contract, and they might charge their etf....but i take it you didnt have any problems?

From what I gatherd from Cingular, each phone can be added to a family plan even if it has an EXISTING contract.
How they do this is,the phone would be bound by the langth of the original contract rideing in the back ground.Meaning if the holder of the familyplan ever disassembles the plan each phone that had an original plan would launch it self on its own for the rest of that original contract.
So when I chosse to have the V551 sent I chosse a $29.99 plan it is rideing in the background for two years seen here If I ever end my family plan this phone will start to be billed @ $29.99 a month for the rest of the time up to the end of that two year agreement.
This is the first phone I bought the RAZOR I chosse a 600 rollover @ $49.99 seen here when I did this I did not know I wanted to do a Familyplan.
I then had wirefly send me a free phone a v220 and I chosse a $29.99 plan. When It arrived I rolled both of these phones to a familyplan.
Then came this deal and I added a Third phone the V551 @ $29.99 a month rolled to the familyplan you can see they are all here
You can see when I first bought the Razor and the V220 Acctivated on 1/20/05
Then the V551 activated on 3/12/05
To sum this all up,
IF you buy a phone with a contract and add it to a familyplan the contract will lurk in the background if that phone ever becomes delisted from a familyplan it will start being bill from the ORIGINAL contract TERMS that phone chosse @ the time of perchase.and YES all the time the phones are on a familyplan the months will be counted twards the 1 or 2 year term.
Some one mentioned I would not lock up for two years.I'm glad I did because the price for cingular has gone UP.
I get 850 FF rollover for $59.99 plus $9.99 + $9.99 =$80.00 a month.Cingular does not offer $59.99 plans any more with add a phone for $9.99
Most of my minutes are MM Father Mother Girlfreind Sister all Cingular
I roll at least 1/2 or 400 minutes each month so far.
Its now $69.99 FF 1100 rollover minimum to get a second phone for $9.99
So Im getting 1 phone for free everymonth at these current rates...I will take it....

EDIT: To answer your question this will not break a Wirefly Contract by adding a phone to a family plan based on the contract is rideing in the back ground.

This is all I know based on all three phones are being billed in my name on my account.

Wow...that really helped a lot! Thanks, especially for those screens...I know you didn't have to do that. That helps, because what i was thinking about doing was taking my existing plan w/cingular, ordering a new line from wirefly for my mom, and then making my plan a familytalk one and adding her onto it. Now, all i have to worry about is making sure that they don't take off my unlimited Media Works plan, and i'll be set.

Not a problem,So if I ever broke my familyplan up I would be responsable for three wirefly contracts of $49.99 $29.99 and $29.99 up to the two year from start. All three phones have a diffrent start date from 1/20/05 to 3/12/05
glad it helped.

Placed another call to Wirefly on the wrong accessories. They are now telling me they are on backorder. And said again to wait 7-10 business days. Thanks for saying they will ship when they are really on backorder!!! The barely English speaking guy then said the only thing he can do is send the request to the warehouse. When I asked him when the accessories will arrive, he said he doesn't know!! If I don't get them before the 1 month from my purchase date, I am going to dispute the charges. Anyone know if this will affect my contract in any way if I didn't receive my full order?

Hey thanks for the post, just got the Sanyo 7300 for $9.99 instead of $99.99. Went with Sprint. I've been using Verison but I don't get any reception in my office, not a good thing. One of my employees has Sprint and it works great. now if I just knew if it would work in the other areas I frequent...

Update: Some how I got upgraded to 1 day shipping. I ordered Wed. 3-24 got it today 3-26. I selected standard no fee shipping, order indicated arrival 3-29, got confirmation and showed I UPS Next day shipping? Only potential problem, they disabled my cell phone I transfered the number from today 3-26 too, luckily the phone showed up and didn't cause too many problems.

Got a question, if I just want to buy the Sidekick and not get it activated through this site is $99 a decent deal for it? I can always choose to activate it locally afterwards right?

These deals all require activating new service.

Do you know if I could buy the Sidekick for the $99 and then just activate the Internet $20 plan with out doing actual phone service? I understand that the extra $50 mail-in only applies to a higher plan. Thanks.

has anyone bought a Blackberrry from these guys? Can I port my Verizon number to a Cingular Blackberry device? When does the number actually transfer from phone to phone?

I've already got Verizon service and my contract is up. I want to stay with them but I want to get the Motorola V710. They have a great price of $120 here. Is there a way I can cancel my current service and then sign up here and keep my existing number? What about porting my number from Verizon to a new Verizon Contract. Does that work?
