Regardless of what features it has, these digital cooking thermometers are great! They really let you cook meat to the correct temperatures for the desired result. You can finally stop overcooking roasts and steaks. I've used one for a few years now and I don't use it for steaks anymore 'cause I consider I've finally learnt the correlation between the firmness/"give" when pressed and how well its cooked, but for roasts or rottisserie they're indespensible.
