Wireless Bridge questions

So i was wondering, if I have a bunch of routers and want to add wireless (as in they are all wired routers), is a wireless bridge the device that hooks up to the router that adds wireless capability? Or is there something else?

No, Your are looking for what is called an wireless access point(WAP or sometimes just AP). One that is very good is the DWL-900+ by D-link. Here are some prices

Technology wise you would add an Access Point to each Cable/DSL Router. That will turn them into Wireless capable.

However due to marketing consideration Wireless Cable/DSL Routes are much less expensive than Access Points.

So you might consider getting a Wireless Cable/DSL Router to replace you current Router. Or you can use a new Wireless Cable/DSL Router as a Switch with an Access Point.

BTW. The name of the device is Access Point (AP) WAP is a specific name of Linksys Access Point called WAP11.

A bridge would connect wired clients via a wireless link. I'll second the suggestion to go get some cheap router/ap combo's, unless you want to have the added flexibility dedicated AP's will give you. Most units will bridge and some will repeat. Glad to see the correct terminology used. Wireless AP, or WAP, is a product. The afformentioned Linksys gear, though WAP has been mis-used for long enough now it's sort of a de facto naming convention for wireless hubs. I have all but gotten off my soapbox about that bastardized term for an AP.
