Wireless Cards and Apple's Airport

I own a lot of Macintosh computers and I have them hooked up at work and at home via the Airport network. What wireless card can I buy for a PC I want to build that will work with Linux and Windows 2000?

Damn that website sucks...you sure that those products will work with the Airport system? Is it just all based on standards (IE whatever) ?

i THINK the airport is based off of the IEEE 802.11b wireless network standard, if it is... all you need is a PCI card or PC Card for PC and it should work find. SystemLogic.net has some reviews on them from D-Link

I recently bought the Farallon card for a PC laptop, it works fine.

I think the Linksys cards should work but I would check their support pages. Also, Lucent Technolgies makes the Orinoco card which is also compatible.

I haven't even heard of an ISA card that works with ANY wireless router, please let me know if there is one....

But PCI is probably the way you want to go anyway, legacy hardware is dead, stay with PCI.

Thanks a bunch everybody...I will post to this when I do the install for anyone who wants to know...I just started building this thing though...I've got the case, and ordering the processor and motherboard this weekend....then next week I will probably have the rest. If only good monitors were cheap
