Wireless home network, what router should I get?

My comments into researching the topic:
1) Linksys ... connection quality can be problematic. Having had one in the past, I agree. I couldn't get the damned thing working.

I found some reviews. The D-Link DI-624 appears to be a high quality product. Any comments on this?
Alot of people also say netGear > LinkSys. Is this a true statement?

I should add, I want something that will work. The budget ... I will pay more for the better product. $70 for the D-Link seems reasonable when LinkSys routers cost $55 or so.

The D-Link WBR-1310 looks like an OK router, however I'm not a big fan of D-Link routers. After seeing what you can do with 3rd party firmwares it just seems so limiting to buy a router that isn't supported/updated by anyone but the company that made it. You can see another reason why I'm not a fan of D-Link here.


I'm not really sure what you need the router to do, but I suggest you take a look at the Buffalo WHR-G54S router. Buffalo makes great routers and they support 3rd party firmwares like DD-WRT(adds lots of great features!).

Like Isaiah for the price you can get a Buffalo which is a better unit. Or save you money and buy one of the inexpensive units.
