Massive latency. Thing just constantly freezes up. Huge delays.

Plugged in my old DELL wireless keyboard at the same time, and it worked fine.
So, it was not some OS delay.

Returning this junk. Going to keep my old DELL keyboard, and just replace the broken mouse,
which is why I replaced the combo in the first place.

But... tell us how you really feel...

Seriously, though, there's nothing inherently wrong with the MK270. I own several, and they work fine.

Did you make the mistake of plugging the USB2.0 dongle into a USB3.0 port?

Do you have other wireless devices, that might cause interference?

Did you even try the MK270 by itself, without the older Dell wireless keyboard? (Turn the Dell OFF, or remove the batteries and unplug the USB dongle.) It, being older, may not be as "wireless aware", and may be stomping all over the spectrum.

The DELL stuff was packed away in the box, since I was about to toss in trash.
Then the LogiCRAP was intermittent junk, so I returned it, and fished the DELL out of the pile.

we use a bunch of these at a dentist office, and they work ok too, but if it was some old stock the batteries could be weak as that's usually what they experience when they are low.

But as you said, it does not matter now as you returned it.

I haven't used that particular one, but I did buy a Logitech MK330 bundle when Amazon had a goldbox deal on it ($19) to replace a very old Logitech wireless set I had using for 7+ years. My old set still worked, but after all of us using it (especially my kids), it was just grimy looking.

And this Logitech set was also pretty bad. Constant drops, lagged, and was just overall frustrating to use. I tried moving the wireless adapter to the front, and then ended up trying it all the USB ports on the back, but it didn't make it any difference.

I ended up returning it as well, and went back to using my old set again until I spot something that catches my eye. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

The thing with Logitech wireless combo, some of them you need to have the dongle sitting close or at least "visible" to the KB&M. Once you do that, the lag goes away. Kind of defeat the purpose of being wireless. Also, I found out that some combo get interference from other devices in the house, such as your WiFi that could be operating in the same frequency.

That said, I am using the MK550 set now and I really love it. No lag.

I'll assuming the higher model costliest ones are better. that's why I specifically said the 270

I have a Logitech K270 which I believe is simply the keyboard of the mk270 combo, it has worked fine for me (for at least a year).

I use the Logitech K360 wireless keyboard and the Logitech G602 wireless mouse. They both have latency issues until I used USB extenders for both USB dongles. I'm pretty sure I have interference somewhere near my desk.

My new MK270 Logitech keyboard/mouse combo is working very well for the price I paid ($16.99 at the Best Buy store on eBay), and a lot better than dragging/separating wires all over the place.

Had I known how good it was going to be, would had purchased at least two more, by the time mine arrived & I tested it out to ensure it was indeed new, these were sold out, replaced by 'open box' & refurbs (from other sellers) at a higher price. Mine has the Logitech OEM factory warranty, and also has a very solid feel, the keys springs back up fast.

With 8 computers (not counting notebooks), and rising, in my cramped area, there's no room for wired mice/keyboards. And if anyone thinks that I'm going to pay upwards of $75 (on promo) for old timey 'premium' wired keyboard & mice sold as separates, the smoke in California (where Newegg is located) is much better than that around here!

I just cannot believe, with all of the evolution of wireless technology across the board for many consumer products, why one wants to pay 5x the price to be shackled to wires again. May as well break out the old VCR's & wired telephones (to include 1st gen 'car phones') also, I threw the last of that junk out over a decade or 15 years back, was taking up space in my storage building.

Of course, I do have a couple of wired keyboards for when the need arises, one a PS/2 type, though only use when working on other's computers, or if installing a new OS on a new build until all drivers can be installed.

Placement of receiver is everything with wireless keyboards, am using one of my other receivers that's attached to a 3 feet cord with mine. Also, those inexpensive Rosewill USB hubs are great for this purpose, often on promo for $2.99 with free or 99 cent shipping.

A final note, some are likely new 'old stock' & it's possible that changing the batteries may be of great help.

MK270 is cheap flimsy toy junk. Pay more and you'll see what a real keyboard feels like

Upgrade to the MK570 and you won't have any problems. BB has it on sale for $35 every so often.

I assumed that moving the receiver closer to the input device would have been common knowledge on this forum. Maybe not? I'd be surprised if "buy something more expensive" really makes much difference in this respect.

You should not need extenders for a keyboard that is literally 1 foot away from the desktop tower.
Clearly aylafan is a user error situation.
