My new MK270 Logitech keyboard/mouse combo is working very well for the price I paid ($16.99 at the Best Buy store on eBay), and a lot better than dragging/separating wires all over the place.
Had I known how good it was going to be, would had purchased at least two more, by the time mine arrived & I tested it out to ensure it was indeed new, these were sold out, replaced by 'open box' & refurbs (from other sellers) at a higher price. Mine has the Logitech OEM factory warranty, and also has a very solid feel, the keys springs back up fast.
With 8 computers (not counting notebooks), and rising, in my cramped area, there's no room for wired mice/keyboards. And if anyone thinks that I'm going to pay upwards of $75 (on promo) for old timey 'premium' wired keyboard & mice sold as separates, the smoke in California (where Newegg is located) is much better than that around here!
I just cannot believe, with all of the evolution of wireless technology across the board for many consumer products, why one wants to pay 5x the price to be shackled to wires again. May as well break out the old VCR's & wired telephones (to include 1st gen 'car phones') also, I threw the last of that junk out over a decade or 15 years back, was taking up space in my storage building.
Of course, I do have a couple of wired keyboards for when the need arises, one a PS/2 type, though only use when working on other's computers, or if installing a new OS on a new build until all drivers can be installed.
Placement of receiver is everything with wireless keyboards, am using one of my other receivers that's attached to a 3 feet cord with mine. Also, those inexpensive Rosewill USB hubs are great for this purpose, often on promo for $2.99 with free or 99 cent shipping.
A final note, some are likely new 'old stock' & it's possible that changing the batteries may be of great help.
