Wireless lan for printing?

To have a lan that is wireless, so i can print from my laptop to the network without having to plug in all of the time? What hardware would be necessary for this?

Some of my locations are getting cheapo wireless color printers due mainly to no expense in additional wiring, use of expensive switch ports etc...

We'll be seeing alot more printers wireless enabled soon.

Only problem is print jobs can be very large, sucking the wireless performance down the tubes in a business setting.

True. We can limit print job bandwidth usage via a Citrix policy, but that can make users unhappy if the policy is too restrictive.

Who cares about users? They're the ones killing the performance anyway. It runs much better when there aren't any users.

i use a wireless print server from dell which is connected to my dell printer. I use a laptop or desktop for printing, both these machines are connected using a wireless router.
