Wireless phone help...

We have had these VTECH 5.8GHZ Spectrum wireless phones for a couple months with no problems. However now there is a problem.

When i pick up the phone, instead of hearing a dial tone, all i get is a sound of what sounds like interference. I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in. It is away from anything else that may broadcast a digital frequency.

Does anyone know of anyway i can fix this?

Have you verified it is the phone and not the phone line? Are both phones using a common base unit? If so, the base unit is suspect. Return under warranty.

They both have bases, however there is one base that is connected to a phone line.

I don't know of a way to test if it is the phone line or not. Ill have to find another cord to check.

Why would the base unit just die this suddenly?
