In the near future, I am going to have the option to have either Wireless, or Cable internet access.
I was curious if anybody has experience with wireless internet. My main interest in broadband is for online gaming, so latentcy is a critical issue. When I refer to wireless, I don't mean Satellite internet. This wireless works similar to cellular technology. I don't know the cost comparison yet. I assume the startup costs for wireless will be higher.
The information in the press release promises 1mb/sec upload/download for residential customers. That seems pretty damn fast. Business monthy rates start at $75, so I assume residential is cheaper. I am wondering what you people think about this. BTW, I am too far from the switch, so DSL is not an option. Cable is supposed to be available in my area by September, the provider would be Comcast@home. Wireless, by the end of the year. Here's the link if anybody is curious.
