Wireless Zero Configuration trouble

In Battlefield 2 I got alot of sudden lag spikes frequently. (always at the worst of times of course)
I tested the game on another PC and found out it was my wireless connection that was to blame, so I looked around for solutions and found this:

The thing is, when I turn off Wireless zero configuration in an effort to solve the lag spikes, (which, lucky for me, actually worked)
my adapter strangely loses connection after 10-15 min (not right away which you'd expect if there was something wrong) , and is unable to reconnect without re-enabling wireless zero configuration. Anyone know a way to fix this?

Another thing, is there an alternative to WZC? Obviously, I don't want Windows' network configurator as it, as mentioned, screws up my game. Any program that I can download for instance?

I'm using a network card that came together with my motherboard, a "MSI Nforce3 ultra -54" or something. Because of that, I don't know who made the card, so I don't know what drivers/program to download either.
I did check at MSI's site if they had any firmware for my card (even though I have no idea what firmware is) but none of them recognized my card.

Anyway, that's not too important as long as I can get a solution to the disconnects.

Almost all the Wireless Adapters do not need WZC in order to work correctly.

Configure your Wireless with original manufacturer util.

If you adapter is of the very few that does not have a utile and count on WZC for configuration get yourself another adapter.

Thanks for the reply! (I've posted this in 4 different foums with no answer except yours yet!)
Actually I did try this driver from MSI, click DRIVERS in the menu to the left:

As you can see, the FIRMWARE and UTILITY link is greyed out, so it seems it doesn't exist for it.

As for the driver, it included a program that seemed similar to a configuration tool. I could choose the network to connect to and so on. But this program has caused me 2 system restores because it didn't manage to connect to the network and some other weird problems.

Since that didn't work, are there any other programs that I can use instead? Should I just switch the card?

I glanced around, it seems that you ended up with one of these cards that counts on WZC.

With today?s prices you might find am 802.11g card for $20-$30. If you have the MSI Antenna as in the picture try to find a card that can use the Antenna that you have it might be a better Antenna then the regular 2.2dbi sticks.
