I meant that people on this forum generally upgrade their hardware often enough that a new game being playable wouldn't be a concern. Elsewhere where people aren't in the loop and probably bought something off the shelf, it might be a concern.

TW2 scaled very well going from UQ to HQ. I would trust that CDPR coded the game so that it can run at still respectable IQ on lower end cards like GTX660Ti and R9 270X. Chances are that even with a combination of Medium/HQ, TW3 will look better than TW2 maxed out.

Since TW3 is a GW title, hopefully SLI works right out of the gate. As far as CF support, that's more of a question mark.

Oh, that explains a lot as I thought 6GB is a complete overkill for a single GK110 but quad or triple SLI just might finally make use of that massive frame buffer and chug along where 4GB cards fail or at least were 3GB cards fail but so far I haven't seen such a situation. I remember some test where 3GB was not enough tough but I'm not really sure if my memory isn't deceiving me.

6GB is a lot of memory used even when it comes to the main memory that's more than any game I have ever bother to check how much memory they used, from what I concluded 4GB would be enough(bare minimum and 16GB recommended) because games tended to not exceed 2GB and all of there were while users on this forum were already recommending 16GB and now some even recommend 32GB for QUAD CHANEL memory systems. I checked DA3 and it used 2.1GB with everything on max quality.

I use custom preset with all the sliders slid to the right for maximum quality because ultra preset isn't really the highest possible quality but as I said that 2.1GB was just after loading the game.
ps. What game uses the most graphical memory?

Advanced Warfare used 5GB all up including 8.1 on my 16GB DDR4 box, Inquisition cracked 4GB all up, FC4 pushed 10GB RAM (memory leak haven't bothered to check with a newer patch as I've finished it off). Now my box is games only, Win 8.1 would only take around 1.3GB or so for itself. I'd skip 8GB and go straight for 16GB. Then you wouldn't have to worry about it.

Still seems like 6GB is enough for now anything more is for future games. Memory leaks now notwithstanding, those can eat any amount of memory.

Can't wait to run this at 60+ fps on a 1080p 144hz with a gtx 970. Been waiting for this game for a couple of years already ...
