That is an insanely good promotion. NV is doing an amazing job with their game bundles. Good lesson for all those GPU buyers who buy months in advance before their anticipated game is released -- wait before buying a new card to get it much cheaper and/or get those games bundled for free!

This is going to generate millions of new sales for 970/980 cards. A very smart marketing strategy before R9 300 series launches. Lock in a new customer before competition drops. This deals makes it that much sweeter to step up from a 960 to a 970.

Batman's $40 DLC on Day 1 though - Yuck.

I wonder why Titan X isn't included in that. You'd think the $1000 card could most afford the game license overhead

I wonder if I could grab a EVGA 970 SC and use the step up to go to a 980 when the price drops with the 300 series (UK, would that actually work?).

Eh, an actual decent enticement to finally buy an nvidia card. I'll have to see how long it will last, as in till after the 300s are released. I've been very tempted to just completely forget nvidia for another year or two due to the 970 lies and the overpriced, delayed 960.

This blows my mind.

Is it a very limited promotion?

Wow

Why would it "blow your mind"? It's 2 free games that are sponsored by nVidia. While it's added incentive, it's nothing we haven't seen before.

It does to me, both are unreleased/future AAA games that I'm so itching to play.

Heh. Well, I screwed up. It wouldn't bother me if not for that stupid season pass. If I had seen that coming though, I would have waited either way. I don't think anyone could have predicted that one to be fair.

They had buy any 900 GTX and get free Witcher 3 for like a month or 2 and it ends on May 31st 2015. I have to say this is an excellent deal especially for people who want to play Witcher 3 like me

And now they have 2 free games that is definitely insane.

I don't think people could have predicted that Nvidia will keep TW3 and add Batman but I personally thought NV would run TW3 promotion until end of May or mid-June and then substitute it with Batman AK for the 2nd half of June. Batman is one of the key GW's franchises. What's more unusual is that NV is keeping TW3 too which makes this at minimum a $60 value ($30 at least for each game). Pretty spectacular deal for those who buy AAA games on launch week. Even at $240, this makes R9 290 a tough buy now and $240 960 4GB is basically irrelevant for a gamer interested in both of those titles. Smart move by NV.

Thanks for that info. I did look it and up NV says TW3 promotional codes expire May 31st. It'll be interesting to see if NV extends this promotion.

We rarely get 2 AAA games that are likely going to be 9+/10. In this case, these are 2 of the more highly anticipated titles for the rest of 2015. Add Project CARS and it might be the best game bundle of all time.

Yep, that's exactly what I expected, as well as expecting the season pass to be $20. I don't really regret my decision because of how unpredictable this was. This easily makes the 970 the best value on the market, though... other than the fact that you still need to pay $40 for AK.

People wanting the best of the best won't be unfazed by a lack of promotions. In other words, including two games with Tiitan X isn't likely to spur Titan X sales by much.

Good bundle but I think the Batman series has gone down hill. First was amazing, second and third suffer from kitchen sink syndrome and severe gamer ADD.

I could not for the life of me get into Witcher 1, so Witcher 2 has forever remained in my list of games bought but not played. Trailers look great for Witcher 3, though. Maybe I will make time to play 2.

People that can afford to drop $1000 on a gpu don't deserve discounts

or

People that have spent $1000 should get something back for dropping so much cash.

You choose

I just bought a GTX 970 last week. :/
Amazon gave me a 10% discount in lieu of the extra game code though when I asked about returning it.
