Never been drunk before... I can drink quite a bit without getting drunk. (I've drunk 7 shots within a span of 45 minutes and I only felt slightly tipsy **One of my childhood friends was leaving town so we treated him to drinks** <that was when i was cycling all the time though> ) Plus, I know when to stop, so I wouldn't put myself in a situation like that.

But, hypothetically, with impaired inhibitions. My friends who are girls are attractive, but it goes against my core beliefs to take advantage of someone that way, so I doubt I would, I would probably just stumble out of the bar and walk around. Plus, at least with a few of them, it would be like taking advantage of a little sister. It wouldn't happen.

i have guy friends. they know better than to go beyond friendship. if the girl lets them know that in no uncertain terms and they remain friends then i don't see harm in having guy friends.

I've known several guys who have been in this exact situation, and to a man they all accepted the girls ultimateum but secretly held out hope that things would change and become romantic at some point later.

If it happens, it happens. But they shouldn't hold out for the girl. That is just being insecure and immature. There are plenty of great girls out there, but if something does happen (which isn't really likely), there isn't anything wrong with that either.

Meh they weren't weak shots. I definitely stopped after the 7th shot though, because I knew any more within such a short time frame would really affect me. Drink lots of water after drinking that much in a short time frame because otherwise it may get to you.

Meh, I usually drink whiskey straight when I do drink. Or maybe Crown and Coke. But I don't drink often anymore (a close buddy is in AA ), I used to go out to drink with him and play pool alot. (I think the last time I went out to drink was with someone from ATOT and I didn't drink all that much that night either, but I did go hang out with him at places I wouldn't normally go to) So yeah, the shots were a bit weak to me, but Texas bars are not skimpy on shooters, believe me.

but its ok to be manipulative other ways by being overly nice, taking them out shoopping to dinner , doing this and that for them in hopes of getting sex. That kind of manipulation is cool right?

Nope, I disagree. It would be dishonest to the friendship.

If you have feelings for the girl and you have already asked her out and she wanted to just be friends, then a few good options to do are 1) either give it some time to recollect your feelings, 2) tell the girl straight up, you want to get to know her and see where it goes if she is cool with that, or 3) treat her as a friend and only a friend and make sure to keep yourself viewing her as a friend (don't let your mind drift).

Option 3 is hard at first, but can be rewarding. Option 2 will usually not have a good outcome, but at least it is honest. Option 1 is also a good option, but can lead to a lack of any relationship whatsoever.
