Oh man, this is unbelievable! Can you believe they fired these guys because they bought 6 expensive bottles of wine at a restaurant?

Sounds fishy to me - how could a couple of bank traders have £44,000 to spend on wine? I think they were trying to claim it back under their expenses - thats why they lost their jobs.

In all fairness, they didn't get fired until they tried to expense it to their company. They originally paid for it out of their own pocket.

Somethings whacked about this article. Either they tried to claims it as an expense or they acted like complete assholes.

One would assume that only a high class restaurant would sell such expensive wine. One can also assume that the reason other customers were upset was not because they drank expensive wine, but that they probably drank too much and began acting like idiots.
