There have been members in the past who decided to leave and have had there identity wiped from the matrix. one had to do with a boob job irrc. Lola maybe?
did you check out the youtube video showing a hanging munchkin as proof?:Poop. Somebody is full of it. No suicide found.
My friend just told me about this and I'm scared! Does anyone have this movie? If so, could you do to the part where they meet the lion and see if you can see a suicide in the background? I've tried to find a link, but all of them point to the other suicide part (not this one)...

claims it's on a vhs tape from 1985 proving the bird is actually inserted for newer copies.
I lol'ed because this "suicide" video shows the bird's wing tips from a poor editing job:

Ugh. You misinterpret: The edit was done as a hoax in contemporary times, (YouTube or bootleg VHS). It does not look like that even on the real VHS. If it looks like that in any VHS copies at all, they are exactly that: COPIESIt looks to me like if it is really there (and not edited) it is supposed to be a flying witch, not a munchkin. The munchkins were not dressed like that, and it appears to be a regular height person. It even looks like there might be a flying monkey perched on her shoulder, too. The rocking back and forth was supposed to make it look like she was flying or floating, and it was probably done to foreshadow her involvement later. The witch was spying on them.
And I sincerely doubt if there are multiple copies of this on VHS that they are all edited to include it. It seems more likely the bird was the original rough edit, and they added the witch in later for visual effect impact. But when fans went nuts about it they just went back to the original version to stop the insanity, as it were.
no, that's not what this is about. This movie is full of bad editing jobs, because many of the special effects in this film were never done before. In the remastered versions on high definition they were able to remove or smooth over a lot of the jittering edges where they would combine 2 or more frames into one film frame to get the effects they wanted. This flying witch spying on them is a perfect example of this. When they were watching the dailies after they filmed it, they probably thought the bird flapping was a distraction in the scene, and added the floating witch over it to add more foreshadowing and suspense, is my guess.
no one can prove when that guy got the video tape. its not hard to edit a movie and record it to a video tape and then claim he bought it like that. how hard would it be to put a label on the cassette? Fake a video box?Yea, I get that they claim that, but can anyone verify that? Let's see, without googling it, the VHS version has been out how long now? Over 20 years ago? So what type of software and computers did they use perchance to edit it then? That seems like a red flag right there to me that it wasn't hoaxed, if I understand this right.

I clicked on this thread thinking "wow, there are still people who buy into this myth?" Then I saw SDIFOX's post "necro".
Back when this myth was making the rounds some record stores were cashing in by selling Dark Side of the Moon bundled with The Wizard of Oz DVD in a single package.
I believe that the parts of the movie that appear to sync with the DVD are the result of an active imagination. You can play any DVD and sync it up with a movie and parts will appear to sync up.

There is likely a ton of music that you could probably say synchs to this movie, and I have a few ideas on some that would probably synch up even better, but I'm not telling. Hehe.
It probably wasn't edited then. It was probably edited for YouTube and people like you let their imaginations run wild about "when."
And, yes, it has been verified. The VHS tapes still exist and there is no hanging Munchkin. Read the descriptions and lnks.

"But it was like that on the VHS 25 years ago because someone said it was!"
It wasn't.
WTF is a "tuber?"If you think my imagination is running wild and I'm a tuber, you couldn't be more wrong. Usually the only time I tube is if someone posts a link or I'm looking for something specific.
They claimed there were multiple copies of the flying witch one. Which if you bothered to suffer through the tube one where he blows it up repeatedly, it looks like a witch with something like a flying monkey on its shoulder. I am NOT seeing a hanging munchkin what so ever.
Which is another reason I question this "hoax". You would think if they wanted a hanging munchkin they would have at least made it look like one, and the shadow does not look like one in the least to me.
I was giving you a link based on what you said earlier. The quote was just to direct it to you. The stuff I wrote in quotes is a paraphrasing of what you said before but in expanded context to show the ridiculousness of it. You jumped to the conclusion that the video on YouTube was the video everyone was originally talking about in 1989. As far as anyone can tell, there was no video of the Munchkin/monkey witch in 1989. You wrongly assumed that based on what someone SAID in a more modern hoax video. Wrong. Why did you quote me then comment on something I didn't say in the quote?
WTF is a "tuber?"
I'm saying you should read the description and annotations on the video links you clicked before jumping to baseless assumptions about the origin of the video. Just because the urban legend was around in 1989 doesn't mean the hoax (AKA edited video) was. Your logic about the "witch monkey" makes even less sense than it not looking like a Munchkin. Have you ever seen The Wizard of Oz?! Foreshadowing? Surreal? Ridiculous. It has no place there. The land of Oz is surreal enough and there's nothing else like it in the rest of the movie. All that would do is confuse people into wondering why the witch isn't getting what she wants right there.

Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong.
Wrong.
is there a particular reason why you won't accept the fact that there is no hanging munchkin or any thing other than a bird in that scene? This is the only VHS Amazon lists:
I might have inherited a copy, but I'm not sure what box it was in. If I find it, then I have to get a working VHS player. Not sure if it's worth the trouble to find out.
Why dont you watch the clip in the snopes2 link. It clearly shows a big bird spreading its wings.
I just watched my 1983 copy I have... NOTHING IS IN THE TREES!!!!!!!!!!!! (I l00ked closely while the trees where they as they walked down the yellow road)
Im telling ya...... My 1983 copy has the ORIGINAL ANALOGUE MASTER of this movie AND NOTHING IS IN THE TREES MATE!!
