Wizards First Rule coming to your TV this fall

I wish I heard about this when they first announced it back in January, but I'm very excited to see what Terry Goodkind and Sam have in store for this series. I have always loved his writing, though Naked Empire and Pillars of Creation did drag on a bit. You can read about the series here.
So far the only info I know is that they've chosen who Richard and Kahlan are going to be. They are Craig Horner and Bridget Regan. Speculation that Kristanna Loken is being offered a role as a Mord-Sith. Which one is anyone's guess. No word on who Zedd is going to be played by or Chase. Jay Laga'aia was offered the role of Chase, but due to scheduling conflicts that has fallen to the side.

That's all the info I know of right now. I really hope that this series takes off. Lord knows that we all need good shows on TV and I hope that Sam and Terry can pull it off.

Yes, Song of Ice and Fire is going to HBO. Which means that I'm going to have to pick up HBO again. Though I've never read the series. I probably should once I finish Chainfire/Phantom/Confessor.

On a slightly unlrelated note, I just finished Wrath of a Mad God, the last book in Feist's Darkwar series and liked it. After fizzling out for awhile Feist has really come back strong with Darkwar.

And I absolutely can not wait for "The Gypsy Morph" the last book in Terry Brooks' Genesis of Shannara series.

As for Wizard's first rule, I'm going to have to go back and re-read it, I remember liking it, but it's been 10+ years since I read it.

Lastly, on the subject of George R.R. Martin, I remember being blown away by his first book, and really liking the sequels, the problem is, I just can't keep up with all the characters and storylines, it stretches my cranial capacity to the max.
