I was viewing the CBC Newsworld's documentary on US Foreign Policy.
Very interesting to see how "The Prevention of Genocide Bill" was never passed during Saddam's diabolical gassing of the Kurds, which lead Saddam to be more bold each time. (ie: Gulf War)Another intriguing subject Wolfowitz's gung-ho "Defense Planning Guidance" doctrine to established American hegemony -- has now, become a reality.

Here's a snippet:
Soon after the Gulf War, Wolfowitz supervised the drafting of a set of classified policy guidelines, called a Defense Planning Guidance, for how the U.S. should deal with Saddam Hussein and the rest of the world in the post-Cold War era. Wolfowitz believed containment was an old idea -- a relic of the Cold War -- and that America should use its overwhelming military might preemptively, and unilaterally, if need be. His draft of these policy guidelines was leaked to the press in 1992.

Are any of you aware of this? He even proposed using nuclear weapons?!! And he's your top defense policy-makers. You got crazy monkeys running the government. :Q

Ok, here we go again Did you even read the excerpt that you linked?

This policy guidance is distributed to military leaders and civilian Defense Department heads to provide them with a geopolitical framework for assessing their force level and bugetary needs.

Maybe you are unaware of "War Plans"? The US Government create plans to cover any possible contingency, I would bet there is even a plan covering an invasion of the US by Canada

And the President determines policy, by the way.

Oops.. relapse.. Anyhow. That would be unlikely since we can't even patrol our own coastlines from other countries free leeching off our fish.

It was a FP suggestion that Bush the Elder didn't buy into but Dr. Rice is more inclined that way me thinks.

Wolfie is a new world order the agressive way man. He scares me big time. He don't gotta do the fighting just the thinkin..

Bush the Younger is also inclined somewhat toward that ideology.... It is now selfevident.
