The attack on a woman who was beaten into unconsciousness outside a popular Santa Ana nightspot may have been sparked when the 23-year-old accidentally walked in front of a camera as a group of nightclub patrons posed for a photo, a friend said Tuesday.

Kim Pham, of Huntington Beach, remains on life support after a group of five people punched and stomped on her early Saturday outside the Crosby in downtown Santa Ana.

In a statement, her family said they would take her off life support once her organs were donated.

Apparently the young victim was a writer who tried to inspire others. In her final blog, she wrote:

A few months ago, around 2.30 am in front of "la vics" in San jose, I was entering the store when a fight broke out between two women. This one crazy fine ass mexican girl took her heels and started beating a fine ass asian girl. The worst part was there were about 20 people cheering them on and taking pics.

They were on the ground struggling and fighting, it was fucked up.
My skinny ass jumped in and pulled them apart. ridiculous

From what I heard, they weren't just taking pics. They were yelling "FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT".

I still can't process how three men and two women could stomp on the head of a 100lb. woman lying prone on the ground for ruining their picture.

This is why I still support the death penalty. Who knows, she may have been mouthing off or something, but for a group of grown ass boys to beat a tiny woman like that... There's no hope for redemption and we shouldn't be wasting space in the prisons on animals like that.

Our County has a fairly active system as far as tagging arrests and access to any case filed for free.

On Monday there were 24 Females booked into the Orange County Jail system. We know they are Latino I guess from an article in this thread...then throw out anyone too old to be at a club, as well as anyone arrested on a Bench Warrant, because that is for missing a court date.

One person stands out on the list...they have her listed as Chinese, and the arrest date doesn't line up, but it is obviously not a Chinese name.

You would think since they would have jurisdiction..but if they went to another city to pick someone up, they would go with the help of the local PD as well...so I'm not sure.

Also here are pictures of club patrons. They don't seem to be the normal down-town Santa Ana type, which is also evidenced by the victim. So those south county arrests are possible.
