The families of organ donors should get paid. More people would donate that way. It would be like a $100,000+ accidental death insurance for the family.

I do think that is a fantastic idea, but the amount is way to high. Depending on the organ, something between $1000 to $5000 would be reasonable I would think. It would be an incentive for people to check the box when getting their drivers license, but wouldn't be so astronomical that only the rich would benefit (or if medical insurance had to pay the amount, only the rich could afford insurance).
Was keeping her job part of the agreement when she gave up her kidney? It not, then I fail to see how how here donating a kidney to the guy is relevant at all.
KT
i would NEVER EVER even consider donating an organ to a stranger. i dont know why anyone would carry an organ donor card, thats really asking for it
Lol read this yesterday, they have a pic of the Boss carrying a wine bottle... maybe that's why she needed new kidneys...
Alcohol affects the liver.
we've known of alcohol's ability to compromise kidney function for over 15 years now.
? huh.... why wouldn't you donate your organs if you are already dead/dying.?
Methinks he doesn't know what "organ donor" means on an ID.
They don't just rip them out of you at the first signs of illness, dude. You kinda have to be dead or a lost cause already.
My mother-in-law is a doctor and she has personally seen many times when the staff doesn't give it 100% if it's known the patient is a donor and the organs are in desperate shortage. Did it make a difference in the end for the 'donor'? Who knows, but she recommends against designating yourself as a donor.

Well then your mother in law in a piece of shit cuz she never called the cops or reported it to the AMA.
Stevens returned to work four weeks later even before Brucia. Three days after coming back, she didn't feel well. Stevens says, "No sooner when I got through the door at my house, the phone rang and it was her, saying 'What are you doing? Why are you home?' And I'm like, 'Jackie, I don't feel well.' And she goes, 'Well you can't just can't come and go as you please. People are going to think you're getting special treatment.'"
Stevens had complications from the surgery she says like nerve damage in her leg. But, says Stevens, the yelling didn't' stop. She says, "And she told me it sounds like a personal problem and she wasn't interested. And I said, 'Well it's a personal problem because it's surgery. I had a kidney removed!' And she said, 'Oh, are you throwing this up in my face?'"
Yep here's the pic of the boss with the wine...

Machiavellian bitch of a mother you have there, StairMaster
