I'm neutral on the whole issue, but as far as he knew, his wife was being kidnapped by her rapist, he might have given in to fear, adrenaline, and concern and acted without necessarily thinking. Sure, he could have written down the license plate number, but he might have thought she might be killed by a violent criminal.

I think He is justified and that the wife needs to get locked up for the false police report, and Negligent homicide at the least. In Texas, negligent homicide is when the results of your actions which were not intended to cause death, cause death.
Well at least the husband will get full custody and not loose his house when he divorces her. Arlington is only 5 miles from me right now, I'll buy this man a beer if I ever run into him.
