15 years for rape but the prosecution will aim for a conviction for the murder of the twin baby. Murder is 10 years to life sentence (which in practise is about 20 years). That is if this psycho doesn't bite the dust sooner.
Under Austrian law, the convictions can't be mathematically added, they are just factored in the sentence for the heaviest crime. So if the court finds him guilty of murder, he could get up to 20 years or life. If not, it's up to 15 years for the sack of other crimes.
Also he most likely will have to pay compensation for pain and suffering and therapy costs but even though the former are generally lower than in the US he most probably won't be able to afford both of them, and the province will pay the latter.

20 years < 24 years. Only thing making this better is that he is old and will hopefully die in prison so this isn't an issue.

If you attack someone and rape them, and then on another night attack and rape them again, that would be 2 counts of rape, each punishable separately by consecutive sentences. How come raping someone for 20 years doesn't = 2000 year sentence?
