A Pennsylvania teacher was put on administrative leave without pay after a video surfaced showing her use racist language against a parent with whom she'd gotten into a fender bender.

The Philadelphia middle school teacher who was caught on video yelling racist remarks at a parent following a fender bender has been confirmed to be Renee Greeley by the school district.

In the video, Greeley, a teacher at Drexel Hill Middle School, is seen scrubbing the rear bumper of her pickup truck. She proceeds to go on a racist rant directed toward the parent, Rasheed Noel, who she was involved in the minor car crash with.

Noel met with Upper Darby School District Superintendent Daniel P. McGarry after the incident. A statement by the school district was posted to social media that said Greeley was placed on administrative leave pending further investigation. According to USA Today, Greeley is on leave without pay.

During the rant by Greeley, Noel had a third-grader in his car, according to the report. McGarry also said that other students were watching the confrontation from the school.

“I do not believe anyone who conducts themselves this way should be allowed to teach,” McGarry told USA Today. “Such commentary, such actions will not be tolerated in our community. Now, as a leader of this school district, I’m coming out against it, as hard as I can. We’re not going to run from this.”

Noel has commended the school district for taking action so quickly on the initial video posted to Facebook. As of Monday afternoon, it had been viewed more than 262,000 times.

Is "White Trash" a racist epithet or a cultural epithet?

I've found myself using it lately to describe a cohort of Trump supporters. I think of it as a cultural designation.

"Caucasians who don't think".

As for the "income" issue, our problem today is one of lazy minds who equate wealth with brains. I think there was once a statistical study based on Mensa statistics proving that "bright" people were equally represented in low income brackets.

I think the "woman" ["b****" or whatever] should suffer for her bias. It's something I believe needs to be rooted out of our culture -- permanently.

I don't feel bad for her at all. I do feel bad for her children though if she has any.

I've been in a fender bender that was 100% the other person's fault. I was sitting at a red light and just got hit from behind. The lady was CLEARLY not paying attention and I'm guessing she was on her phone. The first though I had though had NOTHING to do with race. It was however along the lines of "This fucking idiot couldn't stay off her phone while driving. I hate social media".

Every single person here in this forum has gotten pissed off at someone while driving at some point in their life to the point of sticking their middle finger up at them, yelling at them to go fuck themselves, throwing something at their car, etc.. etc... Something about driving a motor vehicle and having conflicts just makes people's rage boil like fucking crazy.

I'm actually glad that as I've gotten older in my early 30s I've just gotten much more relaxed as far as driving - especially because of the fact that I now often times have a kid in my car.

Wow. Career down the tubes and for what? So stupid, and she obviously has some anger issues. It's why I love practicing Buddhism. Meditate. Reflect. Practice tolerance. Forgiveness. Stop being so attached to your feelings. They'll let you down every time. She needs some help. Counseling maybe. The guy in the video handled it like a pro. He was awesome.
