Woman pleads guilty to producing, distributing animal crush videos

I suspect that there's an audience for this because there are people that just like to see things hurt or killed. We have names for people like this and the two most common ones are sociopaths and psychopaths. If I remember correctly about 1% or people fit that bill and in a world where things break down into niche markets, like videos or porn with fat midgets, and this woman is just filling a niche for sociopaths.

I've been disturbed by just how many people seem to revel in this sickness and I believe a goodly percentage of the most harmful trolls are sociopaths. They seem to look out for people having difficulties in life, particularly young people, and then hound them on Facebook or Twitter so much that some kill themselves.

The fact that there are enough people that consume this stuff is pretty scary.

Something I have been thinking about on the side - and this is rather completely off-topic but a worthy mention. Note: I don't in any way condone what the OP story is about, see my first post#4

But... In this country I am getting a little sick of the praising of cat/dog lives as if they are in some higher order of animals. Countries like china find dogs to be a delicious food, yet people here will contribute to dog/cat animal rescue organizations more than worrying about human lives. Dogs/Cats are expendable. I know, because I have 20+ strays running around in our neighborhoods that I run into daily while walking my dogs (which were strays, btw). I see dogs/cats that are treated better than humans in cuddle strollers that their owners push them around in... It just seems a bit odd... when in reality it's just another animal, you just find the concept of eating that type of meat to be gross and find animals like cows to be delicious.

Just curious on what AT thoughts are, I'm not exactly swaying any opinion in one general direction, just curious on other's thoughts on this.

Fetishes generally come from an experience, not a genetic predilection. Being stimulated by the sight of booty or dong is sensible for a species that reproduces sexually; afaik we don't know much about the physical/biological processes that makes us recognize certain shapes/body parts as attractive, but it's something inherent to the vast majority of people (aside from asexuals and maybe a few other groups). Getting hard to kittens being crushed by high-heels, or animated magical cartoon ponies shitting in each others mouths, or etc, is induced. True, the arousal is still automatic, but it's not immutable like a basic sexual orientation is. Is it even known how many people legitimately "need" this kind of material to get off? I wouldn't be surprised if dudes into this are just sadists that get sexual gratification (hot girl in high heels) and violent gratification (puppy dying painfully) in one shot. For all we know, many of her fans don't even really get turned on by it sexually, they just have a warped sense of entertainment not far removed from people that laugh at content posted to Rotten.org/Ogrish/etc.

The real fucked up part is the people who actually get off on this kind of filth can't really help it. It is just a brain wiring thing, and it is terrible. Nothing you can really do to change that.

Beating them mercilessly would be a good start. I'd be willing to bet it's the one treatment that hasn't been tried.
