A petite young Bronx woman was pummeled into a coma by a thug who was furious that she was holding a parking space in the East Village, The Post has learned...

Lana Rosas was holding the spot for her boyfriend between two parked cars outside 520 E. 14th St. at 11:40 p.m. last Friday when Oscar Fuller drove up in a silver minivan.

Fuller -- whose prior busts include weapons possession and felony assault -- jumped out and started screaming at Rosas when she claimed she was holding the space, police sources said.

Fuller then "punched [her] in the face with so much force that the woman flew off her feet," according to court papers

obviously no one deserves to be punched into a coma, but I can empathize a little. parking shenanigans bother the fuck out of me. imo, first come first serve, no "saving" a spot, and if you can't parallel park into your spot within 2 attempts, move the fuck along and leave the spot for someone who knows how to drive.

the other night, I was stuck behind some jerk off on a narrow, 1-way street for 15 minutes because they were trying to parallel park and couldn't, but refused to give up... eventually, I guess their dad or something came out of a house down the block and parked their car for them. meanwhile, there was an entire half block of open spaces right around the corner I might have punched that guy into a coma had it occurred to me.

Some older couple behind me zoomed into the spot while I clearly had my signal on, and he wasn't even parked in, he just got in it all crooked like someone cutting in line.

Thankfully my rear window was not tinted so he could clearly see my cabin gesture to please get the @#%@# out of my spot

I probably would have double parked and blocked him from fixing his car for a couple hours.

I don't think he realized what he did, he must have assumed I had no intention of parking there, probably just saw the spot and threw it in.

I was standing out in the rain just last night holding a spot for my sister. I would just move on and find another spot if I saw somebody standing there. I don't get why this guy had to have that spot.
What if they were moving some big furniture? that is a perfectly reasonable explanation for holding a spot with a person.

i don't mind as long as their are parking spots somewhere in the lot even if its in the back, but this east village place needs to expand their lot or do something different if its that full all the time or enough so that people need to save spots. small lots and too many people is an instigation for violence.

reminds me when kids saved spots for friends at lunch tables in school, we often didn't have enough chairs which caused fights...school's fault imo.

of course, even if this guy's story is true and he was defending himself after the woman involved attacked him, he obviously used way, way, way too much force.

I notice witnesses got his plate but nobody has reported what is his side of the story yet. Time will tell.
I suspect he was strong arming her out of the way and she fought back, and got punched for it.
